Human v. Robot Part II - This Year's Killer App? Pen & Paper
Just when the novel idea to create a series on humans v. robots was still fresh, Detroit Free Press released a report by staffer Mark W. Smith revealing this year's killer app: pen and paper. The report, which included an interview with app developer David Klawitter, showed the importance of good old-fashioned sketching that doesn't involve a computer, mouse or fancy app interface.
Klawitter expressed his preference to "flesh out" ideas on paper before moving to computer software when he builds apps since pen and paper allows for greater fluidity and creativity without the restraints of a computer and mouse.
Goes to show that, no matter how advanced we are, the best ideas do not require sophisticated drafts or software.
